Galatasaray, Al-Hilal and Victor Osimhen

Galatasaray have rejected a verbal €130m approach from Al-Hilal for Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen and currently have no intention of negotiating. The Saudi club identified Osimhen as a major attacking target amid uncertainty around Karim Benzema’s future.

Al-Hilal are exploring a heavyweight replacement if Benzema leaves, but Galatasaray’s refusal closes the immediate route to Osimhen despite the enormous reported offer. The Turkish champions are treating the striker as a player they do not want to sell.

Al-Qadsiah, Manchester City and Tijjani Reijnders

Manchester City are in talks with Saudi club Al-Qadsiah over a deal worth more than £50m for Tijjani Reijnders. No agreement has been reached, but negotiations are continuing only one season after City bought him from AC Milan.

City paid £46.5m for Reijnders last summer and would seek midfield replacements for any major departures before the deadline. The negotiations come as Rodri is also pushing to leave, potentially forcing another substantial reshaping of City’s midfield.

Jeremy Doku and Manchester City

Manchester City have officially extended Jeremy Doku’s contract through 2031 after the Belgium winger signed a new five-year agreement. The 24-year-old has become a major attacking option for the club since joining City from Rennes in 2023.

Doku joins Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol and Abdukodir Khusanov among City players signing long-term extensions this summer. He said Enzo Maresca’s playing style and his relationship with supporters helped convince him to commit his future.

Manchester City, Barcelona and Rodri

Manchester City have reportedly rejected Barcelona’s second Rodri offer, worth €60m plus €10m in incentives. Barcelona are now preparing one final proposal that could rise to €65m guaranteed plus another €10m in performance variables overall.

City continue to seek around €80m despite Rodri having only one year left and reportedly agreeing terms with Barcelona. The midfielder is pressing for the move, while Barcelona want a preliminary agreement before he returns to City training.

Wrexham, Viking and Henrik Falchener

Wrexham are pursuing Norway defender Henrik Falchener after Viking rejected two offers, including a latest package worth €9.5m with bonuses. A successful deal would exceed the Championship club’s existing transfer record following Anthony Patterson’s recent arrival.

Viking want to retain the 23-year-old before their Champions League play-off campaign, strengthening their negotiating position. Wrexham nevertheless continue pushing for the Norwegian international as Phil Parkinson looks to reinforce an already crowded group of central defenders.

Dusan Vlahovic and Besiktas

Dusan Vlahovic has agreed to join Besiktas as a free agent after leaving Juventus when his contract expired. The 26-year-old Serbia striker scored 68 goals during four and a half seasons in Turin despite an injury-disrupted final campaign.

Besiktas had already publicly confirmed negotiations with Vlahovic before the agreement advanced. His move adds another high-profile forward to the Turkish league following the arrivals of Romelu Lukaku, Mason Greenwood and Mohamed Salah at rival clubs.

Roma, Porto and Rodrigo Mora

Negotiations for Rodrigo Mora have reopened after Porto introduced new demands despite reaching a verbal framework with Roma the previous night. Talks continued throughout Wednesday, but the parties no longer have the definitive breakthrough that had appeared close.

Jorge Mendes remains involved in negotiations as both clubs search for common ground. The new conditions represent a material reversal from the earlier verbal agreement, leaving Roma unable to finalise the proposed loan and longer-term purchase structure.

Fenerbahce, Napoli and Romelu Lukaku

Fenerbahce have officially signed Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku from Napoli after the clubs previously reached an agreement and the player completed his medical. The 33-year-old returns to Turkey, where he lived as a child while his father played professionally.

Lukaku says he is fully fit after injuries restricted him to seven Napoli appearances last season. He joins fellow former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood as Fenerbahce strengthen their attack in an attempt to end a league-title drought dating to 2014.

Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Cristian Romero

Atletico Madrid have agreed a €40m, roughly £34.2m, fee with Tottenham for captain Cristian Romero. Spurs will also retain a 15% sell-on clause as the Argentina centre-back prepares to leave after five seasons in north London.

Tottenham resisted exploratory Arsenal interest because they did not want to strengthen their local rival, allowing Atletico to move ahead. Romero becomes another major summer addition for Diego Simeone as the Spanish club pushes spending beyond £100m.

Hull City, Nobel Mendy and Lucas Herrington

Hull have completed the signings of centre-backs Nobel Mendy from Rayo Vallecano and Lucas Herrington from Colorado Rapids. Mendy arrives for Hull’s new club-record fee, exceeding the £20m-plus package previously paid for goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis.

Herrington’s move also produces a record sale for Colorado and the highest reported MLS fee for a defender, with the package potentially reaching $23m. Hull therefore add two young internationals as they prepare for their Premier League return.
