    United States goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann has revealed that an April collision fractured his first cervical vertebra and seriously damaged neck ligaments, leaving him close to paralysis. The injury ended his season and destroyed his hopes of making the World Cup squad.

    Fisnik Asllani’s proposed transfer from Hoffenheim to RB Leipzig has collapsed after Leipzig raised concerns during his medical. Hoffenheim confirmed negotiations had ended, reversing a move that had progressed to the medical stage and a planned five-year contract.

    Hoffenheim sporting director Andreas Schicker said the club continues to trust Asllani physically and technically and expects him back in training. The striker scored 10 goals and supplied seven assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances last season.

    Ivan Toney Charged Over London Nightclub Assault

    England and Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney has been formally charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an alleged incident at a Soho nightclub in December. The 30-year-old is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 24 September.

    Police arrested Toney the day after the alleged incident and later released him on bail while investigating. He was formally charged on 31 July and has not been convicted, with the legal proceedings now overlapping the start of Al-Ahli’s new league season.

    Neace said smaller-market economics, attendance and sponsorship make additional capital increasingly important as richer NWSL ownership groups raise spending standards. Commissioner Jessica Berman confirmed the league is helping with the investment search and said relocation is possible in exceptional circumstances.
