    The Portuguese Football Federation has officially opened disciplinary proceedings against Cristiano Ronaldo following his departure from the national-team camp. The 41-year-old remains provisionally suspended, with the federation confirming the case has been referred for investigation.

    The federation said proceedings were initiated following a decision dated 9 October and classified the investigation as urgent. Ronaldo previously apologised for leaving camp after a dispute over playing time with coach Jorge Jesus. No final sanction has been announced.

    Manchester United Face New Sesko Injury Setback

    CAF Confirms VAR Expansion Across African Club Competitions

    CAF has confirmed that Video Assistant Referee technology will be introduced from the group stages of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup this season, expanding its use across Africa’s major continental club competitions.

    Interim secretary-general Samson Adamu confirmed the decision, which extends video reviews to earlier tournament rounds. Officials will be able to review qualifying incidents involving goals, penalties, direct red cards and mistaken identity under VAR protocols.
