Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Liverpool

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has confirmed Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo will miss the Premier League meeting with Manchester City. Both attackers returned injured from international duty, reducing Liverpool’s forward options for the Anfield fixture.
Isak sustained a thigh injury while representing Sweden, and Gakpo suffered an ankle injury against Serbia. Neither problem is currently considered long-term, but both players remain unavailable. Lewis Koumas could be used in attack with Hugo Ekitike also sidelined.
