Matthew Caldwell has stepped down as Florida Panthers’ business operations president to become CEO of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx. He signed a 10-year deal to oversee business operations, strategic initiatives, and G League affiliate Iowa Wolves. Caldwell, credited with transforming the Panthers’ business success since 2014, now joins new Timberwolves owners Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez. Despite bittersweet farewells in Florida, his move to the NBA reflects pursuit of a global platform and long-term franchise growth.
