Barcelona, Joaquim Forn and the club’s board of directors

Barcelona have appointed former Catalan interior minister Joaquim Forn as head of institutional governance. The appointment is intended to strengthen the club’s corporate governance and internal decision-making procedures.
Forn will oversee governance processes and help align institutional decisions with objectives approved by Barcelona’s board. He previously served on Barcelona City Council and became Catalonia’s interior minister in 2017. He was imprisoned following the Catalan independence referendum and received a pardon in 2021. Before joining Barcelona, Forn worked in legal services at Mediapro.
