Netherlands, Xavi Hernández, Frenkie de Jong, Donyell Malen and Brian Brobbey
6 November 2026
Netherlands manager Xavi has recalled Frenkie de Jong and Donyell Malen for November’s Nations League fixtures against Greece and Germany. Several other players have been omitted or ruled out through injury.
De Jong and Malen return for the first time since the World Cup, while Brian Brobbey is included despite Sunderland’s difficult league form. Gjivai Zechiël, Mexx Meerdink and Ruben van Bommel receive call-ups. Memphis Depay, Matthijs de Ligt and Wout Weghorst miss out, while Ryan Gravenberch and Jorrel Hato are unavailable because of injuries. The Netherlands lead their Nations League group with eight points.
Why It Matters
The Netherlands regain experienced internationals while adjusting their squad to protect their Nations League group lead.
