Leicester City have recorded consecutive victories for the first time in almost a year as manager Russell Martin attempts to revive the League One club. BBC Sport has also revealed that Leicester operated under a five-week summer transfer embargo, adding context to the club’s difficult rebuilding process.

Leicester beat Doncaster 2-1 before defeating Bromley 4-0, moving to tenth in League One. The temporary embargo related to the EFL’s Salary Cost Management Protocol and restricted new signings until player sales generated sufficient financial room. Leicester subsequently oversaw 34 departures and 16 arrivals, including loans and academy exits. Martin has introduced stricter discipline and training standards, while the club is working to reconnect with supporters after three relegations in four years.
