Eintracht Frankfurt recovered from a humiliating 6-0 defeat against RB Leipzig to secure a 1-0 Bundesliga victory over Cologne. Younes Ebnoutalib scored the decisive second-half goal as Frankfurt registered their first clean sheet of the campaign and eased immediate pressure on the team.
Head coach Adi Hutter changed his attacking setup and left young midfielder Can Uzun on the bench throughout the match. After a goalless first half, substitute Noel Aseko created the opportunity for Ebnoutalib to score in the 77th minute. Frankfurt moved into mid-table with their second league victory of the season.
