Barcelona and Getafe
10 October 2026
Barcelona defeated Getafe 3-0 to win their opening eight La Liga fixtures, equalling the club’s best start achieved in 2013-14. The victory also extended their winning streak across all competitions to nine matches, a new club record for a season’s opening.
Anthony Gordon opened the scoring after two minutes, Gabriel Jesus doubled the advantage on his first Barcelona start, and Jules Koundé added a third. Hansi Flick’s side achieved the milestone despite the absence of injured captain Raphinha.
