Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur
10 October 2026
Tottenham fought back to draw 1-1 at Old Trafford despite Rodrigo Bentancur receiving a straight red card. Dominic Solanke scored a stoppage-time equaliser after Bryan Mbeumo had given Manchester United the lead, extending both clubs’ disappointing starts.
Mbeumo struck before Bentancur was dismissed for headbutting Luke Shaw in the 78th minute. Solanke equalised in the 92nd minute despite Tottenham’s numerical disadvantage. United now have six points from six matches, their poorest league start since 1986.
