Robbie Savage, Peterborough United and Leicester City
10 October 2026
Robbie Savage began his tenure as Peterborough United manager with a 3-1 away victory over Leicester City in the Championship. The result marked a successful first league match in charge following his appointment from non-league management.
Peterborough implemented an aggressive, high-intensity approach and capitalised on opportunities against Russell Martin’s Leicester side. Striker Harry Leonard contributed to the attacking performance, giving Savage an encouraging start to his new role.
