Mikel Arteta and Arsenal
7 October 2026
Arsenal have announced a new four-year contract for manager Mikel Arteta. The agreement extends his leadership after he guided the club to its first Premier League championship in 22 years last season.
The extension secures continuity at Arsenal while the club works on retaining other key figures, including midfielder Declan Rice. Contract negotiations with Rice have advanced, but his proposed extension has not yet been formally completed.
