Natalia Arroyo and Aston Villa Women
29 September 2026
Aston Villa have sacked manager Natalia Arroyo after failing to win any of their opening four Women’s Super League matches. Villa drew twice and lost twice before Sunday’s 4-0 defeat by Tottenham prompted the club to make a change.
Arroyo leaves despite having another two years on her contract after joining Villa in January 2025. Women’s technical adviser and former Everton manager Brian Sorensen has been placed in interim charge ahead of Villa’s Women’s League Cup fixture.
