Spain opened their Nations League campaign with a 3-2 comeback victory over England at Wembley. Lamine Yamal struck inside two minutes before Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane put England ahead, with Alex Baena and Mikel Oyarzabal turning the match around.
Kane missed a second-half penalty with England leading 2-1, and Spain punished further defensive mistakes. Baena equalised on the hour before substitute Oyarzabal scored in the 74th minute, extending the world champions’ unbeaten run to 39 matches.
