Rebeca Bernal, Manchester United and Washington Spirit

Manchester United are finalizing a deal to sign Mexico international Rebeca Bernal from Washington Spirit. The 29-year-old defender and midfielder would become the first Mexican player in Women’s Super League history, with an announcement expected before United’s season opener.
Bernal joined Washington from Monterrey in 2025 and has 65 Mexico caps. She missed Sunday’s Spirit match against Bay FC with an excused absence, while United prepare to begin their WSL campaign under new manager Eva Olid on Friday.
