Chelsea beat Brighton 4-3 at Stamford Bridge to maintain their perfect Premier League start under Xabi Alonso. Romeo Lavia, Pedro Neto and Joao Pedro built a three-goal lead before Cole Palmer struck the decisive fourth during Brighton’s comeback.
Malick Yalcouye and a Joao Pedro own goal reduced Chelsea’s lead before Palmer restored a two-goal cushion. Pascal Gross headed Brighton’s third in stoppage time, while new goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez made his Chelsea debut only hours after his signing was announced.
