Lionel Messi scored four goals and added an assist as Inter Miami routed CF Montreal 7-1, the biggest victory in club history. The performance ended Miami’s five-match winless run and moved Messi to the top of the MLS scoring chart.
Messi scored twice before completing his hat-trick with a late chip and adding a stoppage-time free kick. Casemiro, Luis Suarez and Alexander Shaw also scored as Miami won without suspended interim coach Guillermo Hoyos and remained second in the Eastern Conference.
