AC Milan have held concrete talks over signing Manchester City captain Ruben Dias, with the Portugal defender described as their leading defensive target. The proposed transfer is valued around €60m to €65m, while discussions have involved his agent Jorge Mendes.
Milan want a centre-back capable of building attacks and supporting an aggressive press, making Dias a high-profile fit for their plans. The deal remains difficult because of his status at City, his salary and a contract running until 2029.
