Wolves have confirmed Kieran Trippier suffered a medial collateral ligament injury in his left knee during his league debut against Blackburn. The 35-year-old right-back is expected to miss a number of weeks after joining the club on a free transfer.
Trippier’s absence immediately reduces Wolves’ defensive options, while Yerson Mosquera will also miss several weeks with an ankle ligament tear from the same match. The double setback arrives at the beginning of Wolves’ new Championship campaign.
