PSV Eindhoven and Alassane Plea

PSV forward Alassane Plea has suffered another injury in training and is expected to remain unavailable until at least the end of September. The 33-year-old had only recently returned after a serious knee problem wiped out most of his previous season.
The new injury is unrelated to Plea’s previous knee issue but leaves PSV short of senior centre-forward options behind Ricardo Pepi. Local reporting says the setback could force the Dutch champions to change transfer plans and recruit another striker.
