Chelsea’s parent company, 22 Holdco Ltd, has recorded losses exceeding £1 billion across the past two seasons, primarily due to heavy spending on player investments. The group also carries over £1bn in debt.
While Chelsea FC posted a £129.6m profit—thanks to strategic sales of hotels and the women’s team—these transactions were not applicable as taxable income for the parent firm. Losses totalled £445.5m last season and £653m the year prior.
