Al Ahly have officially decided not to discuss any offers for first-team players during the remainder of the summer transfer window. The Egyptian club says retaining the squad is necessary to protect stability before domestic and continental competitions begin.
The decision closes the door on reported Saudi and Turkish interest in players including Imam Ashour. Al Ahly have already made four summer signings and are prioritising continuity after ending last season without the major silverware expected by supporters.
