Chelsea, Strasbourg and Valentin Barco

Chelsea have completed the signing of Argentina international Valentin Barco from Strasbourg on a seven-year contract. The 21-year-old midfielder becomes the club’s sixth summer addition and will join the remaining stages of Chelsea’s pre-season tour.
Barco previously joined Brighton from Boca Juniors before moving to Strasbourg following a successful loan. He becomes the second player to move between the two commonly owned clubs this summer and the 13th such transaction since last season.
