FC Twente were eliminated from Europa League qualifying after drawing 2-2 with Ferencvaros and losing the tie 4-3 on aggregate. The Dutch side scored twice late but failed to overturn the damage from the opening leg.
Ferencvaros played with ten men after a first-half red card, yet Twente struggled to create chances until Wout Weghorst and Lucas Vennegoor of Hesselink scored. The late recovery was insufficient, ending Twente’s Europa League campaign before the third qualifying round.
