Elliot Anderson’s rise has placed him near a potential British transfer record as Manchester City prepare further interest. Nottingham Forest have rejected a major offer and reportedly want more than the £105 million Arsenal paid for Declan Rice.

Anderson’s all-round Premier League numbers, England role and tactical fit after Bernardo Silva’s departure make him City’s top midfield target. Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is expected to negotiate hard, with Manchester United also linked.
