Alexander Isak is set to rejoin Liverpool team training after more than three months out with an ankle injury that included a fibula fracture. His return gives Arne Slot a major attacking boost for the run-in and also strengthens Sweden’s World Cup outlook. Liverpool confirmed Isak will take the next step in recovery on Thursday after surgery and a long rehabilitation period following the injury he suffered at Tottenham in December. Slot said the striker is in a good place mentally and physically, though he may not start immediately.
