Arne Slot said he has no regrets about how he handled Mohamed Salah and insisted the forward’s decision to leave was entirely personal. He refused to speculate on why Salah chose to go, saying that explanation belongs to the player and not the manager. Slot rejected the idea that benching Salah last December triggered the departure, pointing out that Salah had previously been left out under Jurgen Klopp without deciding to leave. He also said Salah had earned the right to decide his own timing after everything he has given Liverpool.
