Manchester United set a new women’s club record with 8,665 fans at Leigh Sports Village in their WSL clash with Arsenal. Despite the occasion, both sides battled to a 0-0 draw dominated by midfield exchanges and limited clear-cut chances. United-Arsenal fixtures have now hit record attendances for three consecutive years, surpassing 8,000 each time. The growing rivalry has eclipsed games against Chelsea, City, and Liverpool. Arsenal’s travelling support once again boosted numbers, underlining the fixture’s significance as one of the WSL’s showcase battles.
