Bremen Boss Criticises Refereeing in Bayern Defeat

Werder Bremen coach Horst Steffen claimed Bayern benefited from “fortunate” referee calls in their 4-0 Bundesliga win. He pointed to Michael Olise’s foul before a corner for Jonathan Tah’s opener and Harry Kane’s penalty, both of which swung momentum early. Steffen argued Kane went down “cleverly” and Olise’s push was a “definite foul,” frustrations echoed by captain Marco Friedl. While admitting Bayern dominated overall, they accused referees of bias. German media noted the incident fuelled perceptions of preferential treatment for Bayern.

Karl Hein Joins Werder Bremen on Season Loan

Arsenal confirmed goalkeeper Karl Hein has joined Werder Bremen on loan.
