Bayern figure Uli Hoeness has blasted Liverpool’s season as “catastrophic” despite around £450 million spent, claiming the squad is packed with superstars who lack balance and work ethic, leaving new signing Florian Wirtz starved of the ball and unable to influence games. Bayern president Uli Hoeness has claimed Jurgen Klopp will not stay long in his executive role at Red Bull, insisting the former Liverpool boss is built for the dugout as speculation grows about future vacancies at Europe’s biggest clubs. Klopp has spent almost a year as Global Head of Soccer, overseeing Red Bull’s multi club network and long term football strategy, yet Hoeness recalled Bayern’s past interest in hiring him and argued that his personality, energy and instincts still belong on the touchline.
