Miami Ohio claimed its first NCAA Tournament victory in 27 years by beating SMU 89-79 in the First Four. The RedHawks advanced after another dominant shooting display, continuing a remarkable season in which they remained unbeaten through the regular campaign. Eian Elmer scored 23 points and hit six three-pointers, while Brant Byers and Luke Skaljac added key support as Miami finished 16-for-41 from deep.
