Santos Approved for £96m Stadium Redevelopment

Santos FC received city approval to replace their historic Vila Belmiro with a modern 30,000-seat stadium in a project worth at least £96m. The 33-year-old required assistance off the field and received treatment with an ice pack. A full diagnosis is pending. Coach César Sampaio called it a “very important loss” and hopes it won’t sideline him long-term.
