A woman has accused Zion Williamson of rape and multiyear abuse, including sexual, physical, emotional, and financial harm during a relationship from 2018 to 2023, according to a civil complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
The lawsuit alleges two rapes in 2020, strangulation causing unconsciousness, threats to kill her and her family, and unauthorized home entries. Williamson denies all claims and plans to countersue, calling the accusations false and financially motivated.

The New Orleans Pelicans have hired former Pistons GM Troy Weaver as senior vice president of basketball operations, reporting to EVP Joe Dumars.
Weaver leaves his consultant role with the Wizards to join the Pelicans’ front office. Despite a losing record in Detroit, he was credited with drafting key young talent like Cade Cunningham and Ausar Thompson.

Hall of Famer Joe Dumars is finalizing a deal to become the New Orleans Pelicans’ new president of basketball operations, replacing David Griffin after the team’s 21–61 season.
Dumars brings a championship pedigree as both player and executive, having built the 2004 Pistons title team. He will work closely with GM Bryson Graham and coach Willie Green, and address Zion Williamson’s uncertain future after years of injuries.

The Pelicans confirmed McCollum and Williamson will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season due to injury setbacks sustained in March.
McCollum is sidelined with a right foot bone contusion, while Williamson is recovering from a low back bone contusion; both will undergo rest and treatment as part of their rehab plans.

Curry was ruled out for a second straight game due to a pelvic contusion suffered last week. Coach Steve Kerr said Curry felt discomfort at the end of a Monday workout, prompting the decision to hold him out.
Despite looking good during his individual session, Curry made a movement that “didn’t feel quite right,” according to Kerr. With two days off before their next game, Curry is expected to return Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans, giving him a full week of rest and recovery.

He suffered the injury after scoring 29 points on 12-of-16 shooting in Wednesday’s win over Minnesota. The All-Star has played only 30 games this season amid ongoing injury concerns.

Murphy will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn labrum and partially torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder.
How: He initially dislocated his shoulder in the first quarter of Monday’s 46-point loss to the Pistons. Further examination confirmed the severity of the injury. Murphy had been averaging a career-high 21.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists while shooting 45.4% overall and 36.1% from three in 52 games.
