Manchester City have officially parted ways with director of football Txiki Begiristain, ending a 13-year era in which the club secured 21 major trophies under his guidance. Begiristain, who helped bring in Pep Guardiola, announced his departure in October 2024, with Hugo Viana of Sporting CP stepping in. City will release a feature film titled A Farewell to Txiki this September to honour his legacy.

Manchester City are considering loaning 19-year-old centre-back Vitor Reis to Girona, with several clubs showing interest. The Brazilian joined City from Palmeiras in January for £29.6m.
Reis has only made four appearances since joining and is expected to go out on loan for development. Girona, under the City Football Group umbrella, are leading the race for the defender.
