His return adds an All-NBA calibre wing to a Thunder team already riding an eighteen-win start. Oklahoma City managed a league-best 18–1 record and a ten-game win streak without him, but now regain a 21.6-points-per-game scorer who also provides playmaking and defence. His reintegration should deepen the rotation and ease pressure on teammates as they push to defend their NBA title.

The NBA fined Jalen Williams $25,000 for wearing a shirt with profane language during his postgame media appearance following OKC’s Game 7 win over Denver.
Williams wore a shirt that read “F— art, let’s dance” after scoring 24 points in the decisive win. The league issued the fine for violating media attire rules.
