Gordon has pulled out of England’s squad after sustaining a hip injury during Friday’s 2-0 win over Albania.
The winger came off the bench but picked up a knock in his 15-minute cameo. He has now returned to Newcastle for further assessment and will miss Monday’s World Cup qualifier against Latvia.
Marcus Rashford (Manchester United / Aston Villa)

Rashford will not return to Manchester United after his loan at Villa; the club plans to sell him permanently.
New manager Ruben Amorim has ruled Rashford out of future plans. United will look to strike a £60m deal with Aston Villa.
Thomas Tuchel, England national team

Kane admitted he was surprised by Tuchel’s appointment as England manager, as he hadn’t thought of the former Bayern Munich and Chelsea coach as a national team manager.
Despite his initial reaction, Kane expressed excitement about working with Tuchel again after their time together at Bayern Munich. He believes England will improve under Tuchel’s guidance leading up to the 2026 World Cup. The leadership structure within the squad is still being discussed.
