Chelsea have agreed a £60m deal for Brighton’s João Pedro, comprising a £55m fee and £5m in add-ons. The 23-year-old striker has signed a seven-year contract and is set to join the squad for the Club World Cup.
Pedro chose Chelsea over Newcastle and is flying to the U.S. for his medical. Brighton will receive a percentage of future sales. Watford are also due 20% of the profit after selling Pedro for £35m last year.
Jamie Gittens (Borussia Dortmund > Chelsea)

Chelsea have reached a €65 million agreement to sign 20-year-old winger Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund. Gittens will sign a seven-year deal but is cup-tied and won’t feature at the Club World Cup.
Chelsea previously had two bids rejected before agreeing on terms during Club World Cup talks in the U.S. Gittens joins Chelsea’s ex-Man City contingent and strengthens their youth-focused rebuild under the new project.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca confirmed the club’s plan to sign a new winger this summer remains unchanged, despite Mudryk’s potential four-year ban following a positive doping test for the banned substance meldonium.
Mudryk, suspended since November, recently had his ‘B’ sample also test positive. Maresca emphasized the team had already played most of last season without him and needs proper wingers regardless, having also bid for Jamie Gittens.
