Quenda joins in 2026, Essugo arrives in summer 2025
Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign both Sporting Lisbon talents in a deal worth up to €74.4M.
Quenda, a highly-rated 17-year-old winger, will remain at Sporting until 2026, while Essugo, a 20-year-old midfielder on loan at Las Palmas, will join Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea have beaten Manchester United to sign Quenda on a seven-year deal for €50m.
The 17-year-old conducted a secret medical and will stay on loan at Sporting CP next season before joining Chelsea permanently.
Marcus Thuram (Inter Milan → Arsenal/Chelsea)

Arsenal and Chelsea are ahead of Liverpool in the race for Thuram, who has a £71m release clause.
Inter Milan want to keep him but may struggle to resist a big offer. Thuram joined as a free agent in 2023 after a strong spell at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Chelsea may cancel their £25m obligation to buy Sancho if they finish above 14th. If the deal falls through, new Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim will decide his future.
