Steve Kerr again used his pre-game platform to call for common-sense gun reforms after two people were killed and nine wounded at Brown University, lamenting that seven years on from his Parkland comments he is still speaking about mass shootings that could be reduced with political will. Drawing on his own family’s experience of gun violence, Kerr stressed most U.S. gun owners are responsible but argued a majority of Americans back tighter laws, urging people of all parties to imagine losing a loved one and to pressure representatives by saying “enough” rather than tuning out yet another tragedy.
