While sidelined with a thigh injury, Arsenal defender Gabriel was filmed sprinting onto a south London pitch to confront a player after a horror tackle in a six a side friendly between Botafogo fans, triggering a tense verbal bust up that halted the match. Invited to watch from the sidelines, Gabriel reacted when one player was left on the ground in agony, charging across the astro and shouting in Portuguese without physical contact. Witnesses said his reaction looked intense but showed his competitive edge, and the game ended as both teams walked off.

Atlético Madrid Agree Deal to Sign Almada from Botafogo

Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement with Botafogo to sign Argentina international Thiago Almada for €15–20m. The move awaits a medical and contract signing in the coming days.
