Thunder Blown Out by Wolves in Game 3 Collapse

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Minnesota Timberwolves
Game 3, Western Conference Finals (May 2025)

The Thunder suffered their worst playoff loss in franchise history, falling 143-101 to the Timberwolves. After taking a 2-0 series lead, OKC were overwhelmed physically and mentally. MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was held to a season-low 14 points, as Minnesota dominated both ends.
Minnesota shot 57.3% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc, stifling OKC’s top-ranked defense. Oklahoma City’s starters combined for just 49 points, while Edwards and Randle outscored them alone. Coach Mark Daigneault and SGA admitted the team “got punched in the mouth” and must respond in Game 4.
