The brief appearance moved him further up the all-time list and preserved one of the league’s rarest durability records in the load-management era. Knicks coach Mike Brown started Bridges solely to keep the streak alive, then substituted him out after an intentional foul stopped play. New York had already locked up the East’s No. 3 seed, so the move was purely about preserving the run rather than game strategy.
