Sunderland have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Enzo Le Fee from Roma for around £20 million, following a successful loan spell and the club’s promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs.
Le Fee’s loan deal included a clause converting it to a permanent transfer upon Sunderland’s promotion. After the club’s win over Sheffield United in the play-off final, they activated the clause, making him their most expensive signing ever.
