Igor Paixao, Sunderland and Marseille

Sunderland have submitted a bid to Marseille for Brazilian winger Igor Paixao, but the French club rejected the offer immediately. The amount was not disclosed, although Paixao is described as Sunderland’s top target for strengthening their wide attacking options.
Marseille remain under financial pressure and could still sell players before the deadline. A future Paixao transfer would also benefit Feyenoord, which negotiated a 30 percent sell-on clause on any profit when selling him to Marseille in 2025.
