United defender Patrick Dorgu admitted he was surprised by compatriot Rasmus Hojlund’s loan move to Napoli. The striker left on deadline day after falling down the pecking order, with a €44m permanent clause included if Napoli qualify for the Champions League. Despite United signing Benjamin Sesko as first-choice No.9, Hojlund was reluctant to leave. Dorgu said he sensed the direction of talks but was still shocked by the exit. He credited both Hojlund and Christian Eriksen for helping him settle at United.
