Chelsea have confirmed the permanent departure of 19-year-old midfielder Mathis Amougou to Strasbourg. The youngster had joined Chelsea from Saint-Étienne for £12m in January but made only two senior appearances.
The move keeps Amougou within the BlueCo-owned multi-club structure. Chelsea opted to offload him for more development time, while Strasbourg benefit from acquiring a promising talent on a long-term deal.
