Arsenal are nearing completion of a deal to sign Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres. A five-year contract is in place, with a fixed fee of £55m agreed and add-on negotiations still ongoing.
Progress was made after Gyokeres’ agent waived a commission fee, easing Arsenal’s guaranteed payment. The Swedish international wants the move, and personal terms are settled. Sporting are still holding out for £8.6m in bonuses.
