Scotland and Slovenia

Slovenia overturned a half-time deficit to beat Scotland 2-1 at Hampden in the Nations League. Ryan Christie put Scotland ahead before second-half goals from Aljosa Matko and Danijel Sturm turned the match around.
The defeat damaged Scotland’s push for second place and a more favourable Euro 2028 qualifying seed. Sebastien Pocognoli’s side were repeatedly exposed defensively and now face Switzerland away and North Macedonia at home in November.
