Saudi Arabia became the first team to reach the Gulf Cup 27 semi-finals after beating Oman 3-0 in Jeddah. The victory gave the Green Falcons six points from two group matches and secured their progression.
Saudi Arabia followed their opening victory over Kuwait with another win, marking the first time since 1979 that they have won their opening two Gulf Cup matches. A draw against Iraq in the final group game would secure top spot.
